Mae's Way Farm is run like a family owned business. Mae Jean has wonderful adopted family members who live on the farm and help her with the daily chores and take care of things when she is out of town. At 62 years old Mae still does all of the stallion collections for all four stallions.

Mae Jean started her love of Trakehner horses in 1970. She worked for years with the stallion Schonfelder Ps and bred her own mares on the side. She bought her first stallion Schonfeld E, 1987 and made him into a household name. She purchased Hennessey in 1993 and made him a successful breeding stallion as well. Planning on retiring she sold Hennessey the end of 2003. To the surprise of all of her friends, in 2004 she found partners and added Tycoon and Radscha to her already successful breeding operation. Now in 2007, she has added Magritte to her breeding lineup.
